Mom's Chop Suey
Ingredients:
Round Steak Meat (1 pkg.)
Onion
Celery
Water
Soy Sauce
Corn Starch
Bead Molasses
Rice, white

Tip: Uncle Ben's converted rice works best with this recipe.

Directions:
1. Make your rice 1/2 hour before you make sauce - so both rice and sauce can be ready at the same time.
2. Start with cutting round steak meat into small chunks of meat - then brown in deep frying pan/brazier. Drain grease and place meat back into pan with cut-up celery and onion. Add water and simmer for 1 hour. Cover while simmering. You can also add some soy sauce.
3. To make gravy: Put 2 heaping tablespoons of corn starch, 1 tablespoon (level) of bead molasses into a cup and add water. Stir. It will be real hard to stir (like cement) at first, slowly add water to make thinner.

Note: If the gravy is too thick just add water slowly to make thinner. If too thin just add some more corn starch in water and re-do (no molasses this time).

4. When at the right consistency add to your frying pan and stir (the gravy will become thick again). Simmer. You can add more soy sauce to taste.
